Life Celebrant & Tribute Writer

When you're ready to remember the life of a loved one, I'm here to help you tell the story of their life, what and who brought them joy, and what they meant to you in their time here. I create a custom life celebration using readings, stories, memories, and music in a relaxed, healing setting to focus on the best times of their life. Elements and prayers of their faith background are incorporated as you wish, but are not required. 

Whether your loved one was active duty military or served our country earlier in their life, we work to create a service befitting their experience and honor them in respect as we remember the oaths of service they took and the commitment they made to keep us safe. Partnering with Water to Wine Productions in Bryan, I had the honor of creating this special Life Celebration for Green Beret, SFC Gilbert Garcia in Dallas, Texas.

Celebrating life and legacy is more than a slogan; Here we celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 2022. Recognizing the life and passing of public figures is just as important to us as if they were our own family. I was proud to be part of creating special events to honor the death of royal monarchs, U.S. Senators, and other relevant public servants.

This is one of our custom special events that we host for widows and widowers who encounter their first Valentine's Day the year following the death of their spouse for a time of fellowship, food, and remembrance.

Callaway-Jones Funeral Center doesn't "feel" like a funeral home. It's because we celebrate life in unique ways to bring healing and share stories and legacies of your loved ones. Part of my work as a Life Celebrant included organizing a holiday clothing and children's toy drive to benefit local nonprofit Project Unity in the Christmas season in memory of a local child who died tragically at the age of one year. The public outpouring of love and support proves over again how the people of the Brazos Valley have hearts of gold for their neighbors.
